SMOVE: Smartphone Stabilizer and Power Bank in One

May 8th, 2017 | by Z. Gonzales

Mobile photography is undoubtedly on the rise these days especially as cameras on mobile phones are getting better and better. However, despite the numerous camera improvements and technologies, we have today, a blur-free and shake-free photo or video still remains out of reach for most people.

Although there are a number of gimbals and stabilizers currently in the market, those options are still quite expensive for most people. Fortunately, a small New York-based company wants to make this tech available to the masses.

Smove 2

SMOVE is a new mobile phone stabilizer that comes with a built-in power bank that’s priced considerably lower compared to the mainstream alternatives. An Indiegogo campaign has been set up to help fund the project and so far, the campaign has been hugely successful.

The device will have 3-axis stabilization and works with both Android and iOS devices. Just like other stabilizers, the SMOVE also comes equipped with several motors that can be controlled using the buttons and a joystick in the handle.

SMOVE also has special features that make it user-friendly including automated panorama that captures and stitches panorama shots, and an Auto Face Follow feature that works best for live streaming to social media channels.

The device will be offered in two versions, a basic version ($149 for early backers) and a Pro version ($189 for early backers) which will retail for a little less than $300. For more details, you can check the Indiegogo campaign of SMOVE using the link below.
