Fitness buffs now have a definite reason to rejoice this summer season with the arrival of Fitbit’s new Alta in the Philippines. The fitness tracker is now arriving in various retailers all over the country.

Fitbit Alta HRIntroduced several months ago, the Fitbit Alta is the smaller brother of the Charge HR 2 and is meant for people who want to track their activities but would want a more minimalist looking device. Just like the Charge HR, the Alta HR is able to continuously track a user’s heart rate as well as other statistics including steps, calories, distance, and sleep using its 3-axis accelerometer.

It also provides on-screen notifications for calls and texts and provides reminders when the user has gone sedentary. These notifications are displayed on a thin OLED display. The tracker also features a system that lets you swap out bands depending on your color preference.

In terms of battery life, Fitbit says the Alta HR can last up to 7 days on a single charge.

The Fitbit Alta HR is now available for pre-order from various retailers for around PHP8500.
