Razer Creates its First Eyewear – the Gunnar

April 3rd, 2017 | by Z. Gonzales

Razer – maker of premium gaming accessories and peripherals has just announced a new product to get you glued longer to your gaming computers. It’s quite different from the usual gadgets that the company has created before. This time around, it’s geared towards your well-being.

GunnarThe new Razer Gunnar is a pair of digital glasses that should help you play games longer without straining your eyes. Compared to those digital glasses you can get from your optometrist; the Gunnar features the company’s patented i-AMP lens technology.

According to the company’s website, their lens will not only reduce eye strain by filtering blue light by 65% but also improve image sharpness, higher contrasts, and crisper texts. The lenses are also said to have a special coating that reduces glare and reflections that further improve your visuals.

Other features of the Gunnar include adjustable nose pads and hidden spring hinges to allow a better fit.

At the moment, there are 3 frame styles and lenses to choose from. Razer will be selling them for $99 a pop though no shipping date has been announced yet.

If you’re shopping for digital glasses but finding this Gunnar quite expensive, you can check out my review of the Energeyes glasses from last year.
