Apple Announces New Versions of iPhone and iPad

If you love the color red, then you have a reason to get excited with Apple’s newest announcement. The Cupertino company has worked together with (RED) an organization that helps people living with HIV/AIDS.

Red iphoneAlthough this isn’t the first time that the two organizations have worked together, it is the first collaboration involving Apple’s main product – the iPhone. Except for the snazzy paint job, nothing much has changed in this particular version of the iPhone. The Product (RED) iPhone will be available starting this Friday starting at $749.

The other product that was unveiled by Apple this week is the new iPad. Designed to replace the aging Air 2 but still providing an affordable option in case they find the pro models a little over their budget. This shows clearly in the tablet’s specs. Looking at its specs sheet, the new iPad is a cross between the Air 2 and the smaller iPad Pro.

iPad NewIt has an upgraded chip and graphics card, and the storage options now start at 32GB. The rest of the internal components are from the Air 2 from its front and rear cameras as well as its Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios. Interestingly, some elements of the new iPad seem to be a step back from the Pro version. The dimensions, for instance, make this new model thicker than the Air 2.

Just like the red iPhone, the new iPad will be available starting this week for around $329 for the 32GB model.
