After attaching the case to an iPhone, you’ll be able to make use of a fully functional phone running the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system.

The back panel of the case has a 5-inch AMOLED display with Full HD resolution. It also has a hefty 2800mAh battery, up to 256GB of storage, NFC, built-in wireless charging and even a 3.5mm headphone jack. Once connected to an iPhone, the case can also extend the native functionality of the iPhone. For instance, its display can be used when taking selfies using the iPhone’s rear camera.

An infrared blaster is also installed inside the EYE so you can control other devices and appliances in your home.

The EYE is now available on Kickstarter for $95 ($129 for the 4G version) for early backers. The case will be sold for $189 and $229 respectively if and when it hits the stores. So far, with still 31 days to go, ETSI has managed to receive the funds it needs to go to the next stage.
