Tesla’s electric vehicles might not be available in the Philippines but it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s a type of news that won’t make geeks excited.

Tesla Model 3.pngLast week, the American EV manufacturer announced the fourth model off its product line named Model 3 at the SpaceX headquarters in California. The company’s founder and CEO Elon Musk himself introduced the car in front of a crowd consisting of Tesla car owners, potential buyers, and journalists at the event.

According to the Model 3’s specs sheet, it will have a range of 215 miles per charge and can go from zero to 60mph in under 6 seconds. The car much like the other two models under the company’s range is designed to be a high-volume ride able to seat up to 5 people.

The Tesla Model 3 is expected to retail for $35,000 in the United States with production scheduled to begin in late 2017. Tesla has already received over 270,000 orders two days after the Model 3 was announced.
